It is recommended that you make the trip with your friends in the Ghats en route. The NH 17 is the best highways which offer the best views and the ultimate travel comforts in this part of the world. So pass the Karnala Bird Sanctuary and also get the best views of the River Vashishti and the marshlands in and around. Then you have the Guwahati Tawang drive which is a lovely route to drive in. Make sure you take your Range Rover for this is one terrain that has to be dealt with carefully and with lot of caution. While here you could also visit Cherrapunji in the state of Meghalaya and explore nature at its best here in the state of Assam.

While in Cherrapunji enjoy the “living bridges” that are built out of the growing roots of the trees here and go back in history while seeing the cemeteries here in the Imphal region. Then go to the Kaziranga National Park and enjoy the sights of the beautiful one horned rhinoceros. Also don’t miss the Tawang monastery in the state of Arunachal Pradesh.

Then take the route from Delhi to manali and then go towards Leh the living paradise in India. It is best to take the Royal Enfield because it is the only way to enjoy the routes here. The mountainous terrain here ensures that you enjoy the bike rides here. Remember to carry a lot of spare petrol so that you don’t run out of it in the higher altitudes. Then you could take the road from Manali to Leh which is believed to be the toughest and also the highest road in the entire world to navigate. The Manali Leh road is normally open to the public only during the months of June to November so make sure you time your drive right. August and September are great times to drive down this route.

Come here and enjoy the sights of the Rohtang pass and see the River Beas and Chandra. The Taglang Pass is the highest pass here at a height of around 5,359m. Then go down the Leh region and spend your nights at Keylong and enjoy your remarkable drives in this region. Top up your experience with a tent experience at Sarchu.
