Picturesque Caracas

Undulating mountains, coastline, extended valley, located about 3000 feet above sea level, is the minute introduction of Caracas. The largest city of is the Venezuela, Caracas is regarded as one of the favorite tourist centers in-between Europe and South America. Planting its eyes on surviving in an excellent manner, the Caraqueños are moving ahead with the time. The city is located in an extended valley that expands from East to West. The valley on the one side is surrounded by bright green slants of Avila National park and the other side is valley witnesses sky-scraping hills. One can see take a glimpse of the city and the close by coast from the eternal Avila National Park. However, the picture of shanty towns surrounding the city and existing poverty still remains a hardcore reality. The capital  of Venezuela , the town is populated around 4 million. To make the shopping an interesting activity, the city contains contemporary malls and shopping centers.

An earthquake of 1812 and a war that prolonged till the year 1821 has devastated the city but the people from the native land of two freedom fighters Francisco de Miranda and Simón Bolívar did not dropped its hope of standing tall yet again. Modernization program in the city began way back in 1950s and one can witness contemporary architectures, ostentatious malls, and updated skyscrapers, among others. Though some modern buildings took place of old colonial structures but the historical monuments are still very much alive here.

Caracas City

Universidad Central de Venezuela- also known as UNESCO monument- also came in to existence during the modernization era. Venezuela’s steady development has ended all the troubles of Caracas as the city turned out to be Latin America’s one of the economic centers. The sudden shift from the agricultural country to the oil production had worked the wonders for the city and people from other parts began their journeys towards Caracas for better future.

The citizens possess never compromise with their food quality by munching varied gastronomy. The restaurants here serve meals from all over the world. Similarly, they live king-sized night lives by moving towards bars, open-air cafés, and clubs.
