Never-Ending Fun of Rio carnival

Rio Carnival of 2010 was once more rocking Brazil in all its hysterical and outrageous glory.

The carnival dates back to 1723 and, like Mardi Gras Carnival, it is also a pre-Lent party, planned to enjoy fully before 40 days of abstinence and sacrifice.  This year’s party kicked of on the 13th of February onwards.

Despite the roasting heat (106 Fahrenheit on Tuesday), revelers, and dancers put on an impressive show.

And for 2011 year, the rehearsals and booking of the tickets for the Rio Carnival have already begun. Rio carnival is not only famous in Brazil but all over the world. People from all over the world come here to participate in its glamorous parades and events which are promising and full of excitement. Even though the festival is celebrated throughout the villages and towns of Brazil, and other catholic countries, the only place considered as the Carnival Capital of the World is Rio de Janeiro. It is not only a benchmark on other known carnivals all over the world, but it is viewed as the most artistic event too. Annually 500,000 foreign visitors come to Rio de Janeiro for the carnival.

The carnival is all about glamorous and sexy costumes, parades, events, and dance and music, where entertainment and fun are promising. It’s not only about having fun but also the carnival showcases the true Brazilian culture. The carnival and merrymaking goes on all day and night for 4 days. Its all about having heart full of fun before the lent of 40 days begin.

Rio Carnival is not just a month preparations, it takes lot of time, money, and rehearsals of months. And result is fruitful once you participate in it.

Rio Carnival 2011 will begin on February 13th, Saturday and will get over on Fat February 16th, Tuesday.

The real thrill about the Rio Carnival experience is the impressive costume parade that is displayed on the world’s biggest stage with the hypnotizing rhythm of samba beats. It’s a lifetime experience just to watch it and who participate can’t wait for next year to do it again. People from all over the globe order costumes beforehand to participate in the parade.

The Rio Carnival is held in February before lent, and the rehearsals begin from November. You can see the rehearsals at samba schools and the Sambodromo Samba Parade preparations and practice take place on the run-way of Samba. The rehearsals are free of costs and the final last rehearsals are done with lights, costumes, and music, which will persuade to participate in it.

Rio Carnival of Rio de Janeiro is the only carnival which promises you ton of fun, four days of non-stop partying and world class display of costumes, Brazilian culture, and excitement.
