Utah is the 45th state added onto the United States and lies on the western part of the country. Utah is located between the most happening and the most interesting places in the States. The road from Utah leads onto Las Vegas in Nevada on the west and Colorado on the east.

Utah is famous for its state parks. This is a perfect place to spend your weekend.

The Bear Lake also known as the Caribbean of the Rockies is an amazing place to be in. The major attraction of the lake is it unique turquoise color. That is the first thing, which catches the glimpse of the visitor.

You try out the snowmobile. Skiing is available in almost all the resorts there. It is a great skiing area. You can also make your way in your personal water boat through the turquoise water. The amazing excitement of sailing into discovering the past of America is yet to be discovered by you here.

The lake has three recreation spots. The Rendezvous Beach, the Bear Lake Marina, and the East Beach. The park is open from 8 am to 10 pm the whole year round. The permit to visit the place for a day is $8, while overnight camping may cost you $10 to $25.

Utah Lake State Park is another tourist attraction, which is quite famous. It is the largest fresh water lake, with 96,600 acre for powerboating, sailboating, canoeing and kayaking. This is a major fishing area and you can find a varied species of fish there.

There are many things to do in the Utah Lake State Park. You can visit the museum there, picnic, sail around the lake, swim, and also try your hands at ice fishing!

Other facilities include boat launching ramps, a sheltered 30 acre marina, 78 seasonal and transient boat slips, modern restrooms, showers, 71 camping sites, and also a fishing area for disabled visitors.

The daily fee to visit the place is $9 whereas the camping fee is $20. There are tent sites available in the area.

The Red Fleet State Park is nestled in between red Rock Mountains. This is a picturesque place located 10 miles to the north of the Vernal. It includes a sandy beach, boat launching ramps, 29 campsites, and 32 covered picnic tables.

The day use fee of this place is $7 and that for camping is $13. The park is open all the year round.
