The temple was built by the King of Lanna for revered monks who visit Chiang Mai from Sukhothai only during the rains. The translation of the name is “the field of flowers temple.” There are several unique aspects to this temple. One is the temple’s large ordination hall. This is unusual not only for its size, but also that it is open at its sides instead of being enclosed. Secondly, there are a large number of chedis present there.

Doi Inthanon National ParkDoi Inthanon National Park is the nature lover’s dream. Located in the countryside around the city of Chiang Mai, lies the Doi Inthanon National Park at a distance of about 60 km in the south-west direction. It is one of Thailand’s finest conservation areas, its has rocky dams, beautiful waterfalls and thick jungle. Doi Inthanon National Park is much more than simply being just a tourist attraction.

Bo Sang Umbrella Village many times stated as handicraft center where you can shop for different kinds of umbrellas which are available in different shapes, sizes and color. The specialty of these umbrellas is that it is hand made by the local artists.

Other must-see tourist attractions in Chiang Mai are Doi Ang Khang, Mero Tribal Village, Wat Phra Singh, Chiang Mai Zoo and Night Safari, etc.
