Jakarta, the capital of Indonesia is very much crowded as well as cosmopolitan. Being a home to millions across the world, the city is melting-pot for varies languages, wealth, culture etc. As a metropolitan city the place has one of the most interesting night lives in Asia, to addition to that being very much crowded the city has the worst traffic. In all the places in like any other place in the world at the same time it is quite different too.

Jakarta is has the historic enclave of Batavia, which was originally developed by the Dutch colonialists, and thus Jakarta has a huge range of historical monuments to be selected and all of them are the must-sees. Jakarta has a reputation of being centre of Indonesian culture but at the same time it has be equally developed into a modern travel destination. Jakarta has everything for everyone. Thus it can be truly said that everyone can easily enjoy themselves when in Jakarta.

Istiqlal Mosque, or Masjid Istiqlal as it is popularly known as in Jakarta, is declared as the largest mosque in Southeast Asia when considered the capacity to accommodate people. Also when the building structure and land coverage is considered Istiqlal against tops the list and gets the honor of begin the largest in Southeast Asia. This national mosque of Indonesia was build to celebrate the Indonesian independence as a nation’s thanks to the god for his blessing. Thus it is named “Istiqlal” which is an Arabic word for “Independence”.

Located in South Jakarta Ragunan Zoo has total area of about 1.4km. The zoo was established in late eighteenth century and has moved to its present location in 1966. There are nearly 295 species and 4,040 specimens in the zoo.
