This is the City of Victory and has had an ephemeral existence and been recognized as the Mughal capital. In the year 1571 Emperor Akbar decided to construct this on the place where his son Jehangir was predicted to have been born. It was the great Salim Chisti who predicted this birth. The work was completely done under the supervision of Emperor Akbar and was eventually completed in the year 1573. In the year 1619, Jehangir took refuge here when the city of Agra was plagued the site was completely abandoned and then there were explorations of archaeology sometime in the year 1892.
