I’m a Amphibian Today at Discovery Cove
After a visit to the Discovery Cove, everything that I see seems to look FISHY! Here a fish, there a fish, everywhere a fish fish! Old Mac Donald had a Cove…E I E I OO!
Yes, the nursery rhyme of kids is sure to undergo a change after a visit to the most spectacular Discovery Cove in Florida. I’m still reeling under the experience of the trip. The one to one encounter with the marine buddies is a one of a lifetime experience in itself. The friendly dolphins, playful stingrays and a tete-a-tete with the aquatic animals including the much apprehended rather feared sharks and barracuda also takes away all the fright as the fun unravels and one does not even realize how the friendly association has broken the ice to leave no room for getting scared.
It was truly delightful and rather an adrenal thumping experience to come one-on-one with the very cute dolphins. Apart from the rendezvous and an absolute fun-filled affair with the dolphins, it is the most awaited and anticipated snorkeling session which is a direct spectacle, rather a living experience with so so many tropical fish to give company to inquisitive intruders like me.
The dolphin rendezvous session begins with a bit of an information passed on through the means of video and there are experts that tell about some of the important facts and traits about the creature. The visitor is briefed about signals that can help strike a conversation with the dolphin through certain gestures. Then post the briefing session, is a rare chance to spend as long as half an hour with the dolphin getting familiar through caressing, hugging and also a belly ride at times, depending on the mood of the creature.
With stingrays swimming and gently tickling with their long tails, it is definitely at first a jittery feeling that slowly overpowers the nervousness to let go off amidst thundering laughter and happy faces.
However, that was not all, as the visitors can also take a dip in the waterfall that has been manually created. Enjoy the bounty of man-made nature under a refreshing waterfall flowing down a rocky mass. What amazes me the most, which also would to you probably, is the way the entire aquatic world has been simulated. Actually, simulation would be a wrong term so as to say! Discovery Cove has moved the seascape of ocean into the living world of humans on land.
To take the experience to an all new level, there are special snorkeling activities that make one feel like a member of the aquatic family as swimming among some of the most unique marine creatures is definitely a memorable moment. The Discovery Cove’s Coral Reef which is a home to thousands of fish, and also closely pass the feared sharks.
After all this visually delighting scenes, it does ring a bell for the appetite call! The tasty meal served to us prepares us to explore the other great activities that Discovery Cove offers. Float by the amazing river that runs through a sun-shiny beach, also a green and very amazing rainforest, echoing and howling through an underwater cave and also a place where about two hundred tropical birds fly.
The Discovery Cove is a sensational place which offers unlimited adventure and never-ending fun, and more importantly the whole displacement of the marine world on land, to provide an experience like never before. This is definitely Florida’s key attractions that will have a lot of guests coming in, and returning as happy guests. So have your chance and visit the most well deserved vacation spot and have a great memory.
