Best Spots Worth Visiting In Australia

While I landed in the land of Australia following the craze of Player’s Racing Team, I thought to utilize my visit in a good way finding answers to why have tourists fallen in love with this land? So, as I head in this diverse land filled with scenic natural sights and sounds, and a unique location where hustling life comes in peace with tranquility and rasping noises of wildlife, come along with me to discover exciting places in Australia.

1. Queensland

Proffering Gold Coast and Surfer’s Paradise, Queensland is truly a rich retreat for the tourists. Also referred as the “Sunshine State on the Continent,” Queensland lengthy strip from Brisbane to Cairns are enough to spell-bind anyone. Also, Queensland serves as the spot of Honda Indy 300 which is held on the streets of Surfer’s Paradise. The FedEx Cart Series Championship is also hosted here in late October.

2. Great Barrier Reef

The world’s most spectacular beauty of Great Barrier Reef is totally unsurpassable; none can match its breathtaking magnificence. Don’t watch its pictures as even pictures can’t reflect the authentic beauty reclining here. Get there and behold the exceptional scenic view yourself. Head to the largest and elaborate vastness of coral reefs in the world located at the Northeast Coast of the country which sprawls about 1250 miles.

Coral reef is actually recognized as a natural barrier that encompasses bodies of living and dead coral, below water level. If you are a wildlife enthusiast, then there is lots more waiting here as it is home to an spectacular array of diverse species like 1500 species of fish, 400 varieties of coral, 200 types of bird, 500 kinds of seaweed, and diverse kinds of sea turtles and sea snakes.

3. Perth and Nambung National Park

Located in Western Australia, both the destinations are huddled in one because of there closeness in terms of area. Perth can be found at a far away distance, this is the sunniest spot in the whole country, however sunnier atmosphere turns scorching in the summers.

Coming to Nambung National Park, it is located at a few hours distance to Perth. Nambung is home to several unusual natural sights. In the yesteryears, the land which is occupied by this national park today, used to be a dense forest. With the passage of time, Australia transferred to the north, ultimately the forest turned into a parched area and died over the years. The lush greenness changed to dry sand of today.

4. Outback

Offering scenic sights of whip crackers, bush bands, horse shows, didgeridoos and indigenous cultural dancing sights are few namely sights to give you a preview of what you can actually see in Outback. Extensive dry areas running to thousands of acres of land which hail back from tens of thousands of years will form your sight. Head to the Queensland Outback region, which is the most striking one as it is a popular conviction that it has been a part of the “Great Inland Sea.” Because of which the land is very rich in fossils and shelters life which date back to hundreds of millions of years.

5. Uluru National Park

Don’t underestimate its preciousness, well if you want to acquaint yourself to its value, come with me. The gigantic monolith Uluru, earlier known as Ayers Rock, is a natural wonder worth watching. To behold this natural structure, trek to the Northern territory. Located to the Southwest of Alice Springs, the foundation stone was laid in the year 1958 and it was known as Ayers Rock and Mount Alga, however it was renamed in 1977 as Uluru National Park. As the famous saying goes, “it came, it saw, it captured,” the same is applied to Uluru National Park as after making its presence felt for a decade, it made position in the World Heritage List. Today, it witnesses approximately more than 6,50,000 visitors annually.

6. Melbourne

Melbourne, a heart-thumping and high-spirited location offers as much as over 1000 different events round the year. Located in the Southwest State of Victoria, Melbourne is a vibrant and over-enthusiastic spot. Sport-fanatics are offered loads of variety to choose from, ranging from the Australian Open Tennis Championship to the Australian Football League Finals Series. Not only these, there are lot many cultural and artistic events waiting keenly for the art-enthusiasts, like the Melbourne International Comedy Festival, Wangaratta Festival of Jazz and the reputed Melbourne Festival which keeps the tourists and inhabitants entertained, while the Melbourne Food and Wine Festival is there to keep the foodies engaged. 7. Australian Rules Football in Darwin

While you cheer for rugby team in UK and applaud vehemently for Football team in US, come to Australia and applaud for the Aussie Rules Football. None can match its excellence, and if you don’t trust my words, get there and experience the truth yourself. The bruises and headaches are sure to sway you along with there continuous force before you could ask for a Foster’s beer. For experiencing the wild experience, attend a regular game or even better; get into the International Australian Football Championship which takes place every two years as a part of the Arafura Games in Darwin, which is located in the Northern region.

8.  Sydney

Filled with enthralling adventures, Sydney is loaded with tourist attractions. Adventure-enthusiasts can indulge in their favorite adventurous retreat. They can climb over the Harbour Bridge which is often referred as ‘Coat Hanger’ by the locals. Not only is Sydney an enchanting retreat for the adventurous freaks, but also is a delight for the eyes of art lovers. About 3000 performances and events take place in the Sydney Opera House every year. Also, Sydney provides contrasting images of Sydney’s past and modernization, if you want to view them, head to The Rocks, an old district which offers new cafes, restaurants and varied tourists shops.


9. Tasmania

Perched to the Southeast of Mainland Australia, Tasmania presents everything that has contributed to makes Australia great. Offering diverse picturesque scenic views, sublime wilderness and hailing from a rich historical background, Tasmania is worth visiting.

10. Kangaroo Island

Located about 70 miles to the Southwest of Adelaide, Kangaroo Island shelters varied wildlife such as sea lions, seals, Koalas and Kangaroos. Australia’s third largest island, Kangaroo Island is an idyllic spot to chill-out in the summers. It is a part of South Australia which is the driest state in a dry area.

  • This is the best list. I’ve been to Queensland before and Gold Coast paradise is the best. All I know to that place, it is located in North Queensland and I will add some information that the Magnetic Island is near to that place which is good for nature tripping.
