Amazing Drives from Delhi to Leh

Visit India and enjoy those remarkable drives in the most adventurous locales. Come here and driver from Delhi to Leh and experience the pleasures of a great road experience. There are many ways you could reach Leh from Delhi but the most exciting way is to go by road obviously. If you have the capacity to drive the entire stretch of 1075 kilometers then it would take around 3 to 4 days. It is an experience you would always remember. And if you personally drive then you would have the greatest thrill of your life.

On the first day you would leave for Kulu or Manali. This takes around 12 hours and you would cross Ambala, Chandigarh, Roopnagar, and Mandi and then you would reach the destination. Here you would halt for the night in any of the towns you come across.

On the second day you would go to Jispa which is situated around 145 km from Manali via the Rohtang pass. This 51km drive from Manali to Rohtang is a three hour drive and as you cross the entire rough road and the steep slopes you would only feel really blessed to be a part of this amazing drive to Leh.  Then cross the beautiful region of Keylong and then go up to Rohtang. You would reach a crossroad from where you would turn towards Spiti Valley and Lahaul. After you reach Rohtang you would head towards Rohtang. Jispa is a place you can reach in three hours.

Driving from delhi to leh

Jispa at a height of around 10,89 feet is a great place to visit and so the next day when you go proceed from this place you wouldn’t mind the bad road or the adventurous track that you would take. On the way you would reach Sarchu which is around 87 km from Jispa. Sarchu is a place that is at a height of around 14,200 feet. With the best accommodation of tents and the ideal kinds of toilet facilities trips here are sure to leave a road traveller totally excited and satiated.

Leh is around 325km away from Jispa and it would take around 11 hours to reach. But it is advisable that you don’t drive during the night as there are lots of road blocks as well as breakdowns. So it is a better idea to just halt from the night and enjoy the drives in the mornings.

Starting early is a great way of enjoying the drives. So go through the altitude areas and be careful when you drive. When night falls you could just halt wherever possible. On the fourth day you would be on your way to Tso Moriri which is on the way to Leh. This is a long drive from Jispa and requires you to halt in between. Tso MOriri is at a greater height than Sarchu and there are many travellers who are seen to fall sick on their tours. So make sure you have all the precautions that you require to make your travels safe.

The Manali Leh Highway is definitely the most exciting and the most adventurous in this beautiful region of Himalayas. Every adventure enthusiast has the ardent dram to travel this 474 kms long stretch from Manali to Leh. This highway has the best forms of natural scenery and makes trips here very enchanting. So from the sight of the best verdant expanses and the ideal green surroundings, to the beautiful view of the rocky landscape the trips here are very enchanting. There are fantastic streams here on your way up. The wide lands with the beautiful areas mesmerize the visitor and the highway gives you the best benefits of a lovely thrilling deriving experiences.
