Outer Hebrides, inner peace

Outer Hebrides, inner peace
So you like jokes, right? Excellent, I’ve got one for you. So there’s two professors at a conference and one of them is a Spaniard and the other is Gaelic. As icebreakers go, the Spanish professor decided to ask the Irishman if there was a Gaelic word similar in use to mañana. The Hebridian porfessor pondered over this for a minute while scratching his salt and pepper beard and said that the Irish have five words similar to mañana but none of them are quite as urgent as that. We apologise for not getting things off to the best start possible, but rest assured that this is not an assessment of two languages and their merits. It is instead meant to be indicative of the languid way of life that is to be had in the Outer Hebrides and we hope you appreciate that more than the joke. The morning  [...]

In the lap of nature

In the lap of nature
Madagascar is more than just a little island sailing in two boats, being off the coast of Africa as it is but with its roots in Asia. Madagascar is a little pearl unto itself and its uniqueness is deep-set in its ways and exotic wildlife, with tree-climbing lemurs (some of which make a sound like a siren) scurrying away just as soon as you snap that twig below your foot. Flippant Hollywood animated barely begins to do justice to it. Over millions of years of evolution, Madagascar has flora and fauna far removed from that you would find in any other place on the face of the planet, such as the carnivorous pitcher plant. Madagascar is a conservationist’s wet dream and a wildlife fan’s wildest imagination sprung to life. Unique is Madagascar, right from the experiences you’ll have here to  [...]

The Wonders of the Goth Black Forest
Black Forest may infuse either mouth-smacking piece of heavenly delight or even spine-chilling images of a thick, dark, secluded place. Think of dark and Goth stories, and what place other than Germany can live up to it? However, Black Forest to the true-blue globe trotter, make that with a streak for wanderlust in the lap of Mother Nature, sure to know what they have in store in the Black Forests. A beautiful spread of emerald over the German territories possibly attributes the beautiful forests a Goth-style name, true to the architectural trends of Germany, but don’t let the perception hold you back from experiencing this paradise of a place abundant with verdant beauty and spectacular natural bounty. Straddling along the Swiss and French borders accompanied by the pristine Neckar  [...]

Come Away to Copenhagen
What truly defines the Copenhagen experience is the instant sight of bright happy homes on the banks of a canal with boats by the side. The cobbled streets of this Danish capital is most definitely a captivating place which leaves me in rapt awe of the grandeur with a pleasant twist in the art and architecture, flourishing richness and an escalating enigma in its true blue style. Trees decorated, a perfect festive family break where the exuberance of a holiday mixes with the uber excitement of Christmas festivities, I am turned into a happy child who can’t stop but being in sheer awe of a city that comes alive with all the merry and jovial vibe in the air, Copenhagen is definitely one of the coolest, very varied and all the more stirring experience. This Danish capital is bubbling with joy,  [...]

I’m a Amphibian Today at Discovery Cove

I’m a Amphibian Today at Discovery Cove
After a visit to the Discovery Cove, everything that I see seems to look FISHY! Here a fish, there a fish, everywhere a fish fish! Old Mac Donald had a Cove…E I E I  OO! Yes, the nursery rhyme of kids is sure to undergo a change after a visit to the most spectacular Discovery Cove in Florida. I’m still reeling under the experience of the trip. The one to one encounter with the marine buddies is a one of a lifetime experience in itself. The friendly dolphins, playful stingrays and a tete-a-tete with the aquatic animals including the much apprehended rather feared sharks and barracuda also takes away all the fright as the fun unravels and one does not even realize how the friendly association has broken the ice to leave no room for getting scared. It was truly delightful and rather an adrenal  [...]

Expedition to Patagonia
It started out as one of those once in a life time experiences and ended up as a dream comes true. We arrived at the airport in Trelew which is about a thousand two hundred kilometers to the south of Buenos Aires. We were welcomed by a friendly tour guide to start the trip to Patagonia. We then drive to the charming coastal Puerto Madryn. A panoramic tour and a delectable lunch sets the mood for the journey ahead. Then later in the afternoon a paradise nature reserve of Peninsula Valdes awaits us. Armadillos, guanacos, gray foxes of Patagonia and the lesser rheas form a tresure trove of animals to catch sight of. Next day I remember basking in the enchanting beaches with elephant seals for company. A trekking trip around the coast will thrill the explorer in you. It sure did work for me. A  [...]

Snap on and there you go! So, why not the twisted words of the tongue-twister give away a hint of where to go? Seychelles it indeed is! Kudos!!
